I think I've found Snape's favourite chocolate....

What Your Taste in Chocolate Says About You

You are intense, powerful, and dramatic.

People respect the things you do...

And they're not sure if they could do them!

You are dominant and a bit over powering at times.

You're so brilliant, you have trouble letting anyone else be in charge.

While people respect you, they find you to be withdrawn and aloof.

You love the feeling of accomplishment. You enjoy doing what's important.

You feel lost when you have to do frivolous tasks or hang out with shallow people.

The Chocolate Oracle

Can someone tell me how to upload a pic onto ij? Other people seem to be able to do it, but I can't. I have to load it to photobucket via LiveJournal and then link to it, I can't think of another way to do it. Or do I have to buy a paid account to upload pics? *ponders*

Nice. :)

I'm not sure if IJ has photo hosting ... they didn't used to, but that may've changed when I wasn't paying attention, lol. But you can upload directly to photobucket instead of to LJ, and then link from photobucket on IJ, if you like. Or however you like to do it really. :)

*is technically challenged*

Just follow their links on the main page: http://photobucket.com/ (click on Upload Photos and Video) - You have to sign up for an account with them or log in to upload. They also have a tutorial here: http://tutorials.photobucket.com/tutorial_188.html

Errr. How do you get it onto IJ?

There are tonnes of ways to upload to PhotoBucket, you just need to sign up for an account and then there's the bulk uploader, the regular uploader, etc. this link should work, I think and then just sign in and let me know if you can't figure out how to upload them?

I like your result. ;-)

As for uploading pics, I'm assuming you want the HTML? It's: img src="URL of the image" alt="title or description" / (You have to add a < and a > at the beginning and at the end respectively, without spaces.)

In Photobucket, you just copy the HTML code below your image.

I tried that but couldn't get it to work at all. What I did use was copied from somewhere, < a href="URL/" >< img height="167" alt="" src="http://URL" width="250" border="0" />< /a >
without the spaces, and I really haven't a clue what it does, it just kind of worked....

*hangs head in technically challenged shame*

Aww, but I'm definitely not technically savvy either and maybe I didn't explain it very well. And I'm laughing because your code seems complicated to me. :D But yay since it worked for you! *looks at your uploaded pic* Ahahaha, damn right, Tweak!

I can't do it either! :(
Unless it's by using the coding ariadneelda said, in which case the photo needs to be at photobucket or another URL.
Loading pics from the PC seems to be verboten here.

Well I couldn't get that to work, so I used something I copied from somewhere which sort of worked, kind of. I've just signed up for a course in HTML at work, although I didn't mention why I wanted to do it...

Oh yes, it must be time for another collaboration. Now I've got all the fests and things out of the way.

(We won! Wheeee! We won the gold!) Ahem, sorry, where was I? Not being in any fests, I feel a bit lost. Need to write something.

*wanders off, pondering*

Well, now you've got that out of your system....
You do know that this month the theme is fairy tales at Lupin_snape comm?

Yes, you can load from photobucket or any other server. I found out how to blog with pictures from flickr to IJ as well as LJ, but you should can also be able to link to them directly using the code above.

Is all very technical. All I wanted to do was paste a piccie on my blog..... But I shall not let it defeat me!

IJ doesn't have an image hosting feature like Scrapbook in LJ, so you have host your photos using the off-site URL.

Ah, I see. As ij is using the same software, it just appears to be able to do the same things... I think....

Hello hello!

Mm... you have a photobucket account yes?

How about you try this:

1. Copy the contents of "Direct Link" under your photo at PB.
2. Using the Rich Text option to post at IJ, choose the "Insert/Edit Image" from the tool bar and let that load.
3. Staying on the "Image Info" tab, paste the info you copied into the URL box. Let that load, then press ok.

Sorry there's so much involved, but that's how I do it. O_O

*Hugs*

No, I don't actually have an account, I just load pics via LiveJournal, make a note of the resulting URL and then use that. As least I think that's what I'm doing.... *scratches head* Seems to work, just means that I'm relying on lj, which worries me a bit.

*hugs back*
