A belated Happy 2009 to you all. Hope you all had a wonderful Yule. Mine was great but I now have the Ebil Snotty Cold of Doom coupled with the Cough from Hell. It didn't help that I went back to work on Friday and the heating had failed. I went with a slight sore throat and returned with the ESC of D. It was cold in there; too cold to sit all day at a desk, anyway. And now it has snowed for the first time this winter and my boss rang to say that the heating isn't sorted, so I stayed home. What a wimp, I know. 

I haven't recced anything for ages, because I was saving all my rec links to post onto my big list of favourite fics and the damn hard drive ate the file when it died. However, I can't resist these two.

Numero uno is a festive fic which I have only just stumbled across and it is utterly lovely. Draco, merrily on high. here. Warm, witty, wonderful, womantic and I didn't think I even liked the pairing much. This is like mulled wine after a brisk walk in the snow. Even if the Draco/Harry pairing isn't your thing (and it isn't really mine) this is simply a lovely seasonal frolic of a fic.

And like lots of other folk, I've just got to rec that fabulous, incredible fic that has been recced all over the place, The Courtship of Benjamin Jink. Again, do not let the pairing put you off, please!  It is a fabulous fic, sharp, witty, poignant and subtle.
